Purified for a Purpose
Whatever your past, God has a future in mind for you. You are a recipient of God’s cleansing touch, and that touch has removed your guilt. Let go of the shame of yesterday, and, with gratitude toward God, step into newness of life.
Faith and Fire
When gold is under fire, the refiner will watch the process. He will patiently wait. It’s not until he can see his reflection in the gold that he knows it has been purified. Likewise, in every trial, as those flaws in our character and nature are burned and melted away, God sees that the trial has served its purpose when He can see Himself in you.
Can You Lose Your Salvation?
Can you lose your salvation? That’s an interesting question that’s been debated for quite some time now, and there’s no way to settle the debate in a short article like this. So rather than answer the question directly, I want to come at this topic from a different angle - a practical application of the Scripture.
How to Never Backslide: 5 Keys
Now that word “backslide” is an interesting word, because it’s come to mean different things to different people. Arguing that Christ would never let them go, some would say that true believers would never return to their old ways - while others think it’s possible for believers to once again be ensnared by the world because of their own free will. Whatever you believe, and no matter where you stand on that question, it should be your desire to remain committed to Christ for life.
No More Excuses
We have the tendency to disqualify ourselves. When God gives us a mission, we recount our mistakes. When God gives us an assignment, we hide behind our imperfections. And while it might seem humble to count yourself out, think of the arrogance of saying, “I know better than God.” Think of the audacity of saying, “God’s power within me isn’t enough to make up for the flaws within me.”
You Are a Miracle
Could you tell people to examine your life to prove that God’s ways are better? Does the way you live testify of God’s higher standard? Does the way you behave attract others to the path of truth?
Other-Worldly Beings
All too often, the believer will trade the supernatural for the superficial, the sacred for the mundane, the heavenly for the earthly. One might object, “When have I traded the heavenly for the earthly? I would never do such a thing.”
Bold As Lions
When you stand righteously, you stand boldly before God. When you stand boldly before God, you live confidently before everyone and everything else.
What is Speaking in Tongues?
When you pray in tongues, you declare aloud in the natural realm that which the Holy Spirit groans in the spiritual realm. When you pray in tongues, you pray perfect prayers, crafted by the Holy Spirit. You pray with His power, according to His will, surrendered to His leading.
Watchmen on the Wall
Don’t abandon your post. Don’t neglect your assignment. Don’t allow the enemy to take the city. Sound the alarm. There is a very real threat out there, and we must lovingly warn all. Be a watchman over your home, over your community, over your school, over your workplace. God holds us each responsible for our assignments.
Remnant Rising
It is being revealed who esteems Christ over culture. Take note. Sadly, many of the churches bowing to the systems of the world today could very well be the ones bowing to the system of the anti-Christ when it has fully come.
Can Every Believer Pray in Tongues?
At first glance, that verse seems to indicate that the gift of speaking in tongues is not for every Christian. Paul’s line of rhetorical questioning communicates a clear message, right? Well, as with all Scripture, context and study are key.
For the Sake of Souls
As we approach the close of 2020, I am inviting you to invest your year-end donation into this evangelistic healing ministry. We’re focused, effective, and, most importantly, obedient to the Holy Spirit. Make a contribution yourself or from your business or organization.
The Worst Case Scenario
There could be thousands of other risks and dangers present in the world. But panic will cause you to arbitrarily single out some specific risk or danger. With all the dangers that life presents, panic will scream, “Everyone put your life on hold until this one specific issue is dealt with.”
Are the Spiritual Gifts No More? The BIBLICAL Answer
Have the spiritual gifts ceased to be? Are they no longer in operation in the church today? This is a fiercely debated issue, and I’m not going to be able to address every point of contention in just one article. My goal, rather, is to just get you thinking in the right direction, the Biblical direction.
The 3 Expressions of the Gift of Tongues
There are three expressions to the gift of speaking in tongues. Here’s how I’ve termed them:
1: The Personal Tongue
2: The Proof Tongue
3: The Prophetic Tongue
The Holy Spirit Prays for You
If you could see into the realm of the Spirit, if you could watch the Holy Spirit pray for you, you would see Him with tears streaming down His face. You would hear Him praying with such force that His booming voice, the very same which spoke the world into existence, would shake the room. I dare even say that you would see Him pounding His fist on the floor as He prayed.
Holy Spirit: Again and Again
The Holy Spirit does not abandon the true believer. But even after you receive the Holy Spirit, you can receive fresh infillings of His power, again and again. The baptism with the Holy Spirit is both a well and a river - a constant state of being and a continual flow.
The Holy Spirit is Jealous Over You
Ungodly jealousy is born of fear; godly jealousy is born of love. The Lord saw how captivated I was by my baby girl. It was as if He was saying, “Don’t forget about me.” No, the Lord wasn’t angry. No, the Lord wasn’t being petty. The Lord’s jealousy is loving and righteous.
Low Signal
As a person will try to make up with volume what lacks in connection during a spotty phone call, so some believers try to make up in emotion and hype what is lacking in connection during prayer. The connection is there, but they allow matters of the flesh to disrupt what would otherwise be a moment of powerful prayer.
