Jesus is Victorious

Many believers today walk around thinking we’re backed into a corner, bracing for escape, convinced that darkness is growing too strong, too fast, for light to keep up. But the truth is that we’re not losing. We’re advancing. Read this blog and be challenged to stop agreeing with the narrative of fear and start agreeing with heaven’s perspective.

Fear has crept into the Church, often disguised as eschatology and end times warnings. Many believers today walk around thinking we’re backed into a corner, bracing for escape, convinced that darkness is growing too strong, too fast, for light to keep up. But this fear-driven mindset doesn’t come from heaven; it comes from misinformation. Because the truth is that we’re not losing. We’re advancing.

Scripture doesn't present a Church that's slowly retreating into irrelevance, waiting for rescue. It paints the picture of a victorious Church, one that plunders the house of the strongman (Matthew 12:29), one that expands like yeast in dough, like a mustard seed growing into a mighty tree (Matthew 13:31-33). The kingdom doesn't shrink. The kingdom grows.

Jesus Christ already reigns. Philippians 2:9-11 tells us plainly: "Therefore God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow... and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Not someday. Now. His authority is not pending. It’s present. He reigns, and His kingdom is expanding.

Yes, evil may intensify. Yes, darkness may shout louder. But the light always shines brighter. John 1:5 declares: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Stop agreeing with the narrative of fear. Start agreeing with heaven’s perspective. Satan is bound. The cross embarrassed the kingdom of hell. The Church is not in survival mode. We’re in takeover mode.

The gates of hell will not prevail against us because gates don’t move. We’re the ones advancing. The enemy isn’t storming. He’s defending what little ground he has left. And every time a soul is saved, every time truth is preached, every time we disciple a generation, we take even more from Satan's ever-weakening grip.

We don’t preach from panic. We preach from power. We don’t retreat from culture. We invade it. We don’t long for escape. We long for expansion.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-19, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…"

His reign is our reason to move forward in boldness. So no more shrinking back. No more hopeless rhetoric. We are not the defeated Church. We are the victorious Bride of Christ.

The Rain of Judgment

Like in the days of Noah: people were living life as usual. Calamity fell upon them unexpectedly, from seemingly nowhere. So it will be in our day. Many will be busy with their usual living - people will be marrying, graduating, raising families, starting businesses, indulging in pleasures, and carrying on with life as they know it.

God is love. And because He is loving, He must righteously punish evil. There is coming a day of judgment, when God will judge the world.

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. (Romans 2:5, NLT)

Because God is merciful, He is giving us time to turn from our evil ways. Stubbornly, arrogantly, people persist in their sin. They mistake God’s patience for God’s absence; they mistake God’s mercy for God’s permission.

36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matthew 24:36-39, NKJV)

Then the rain of God’s judgment will begin to fall. Thankfully, God has provided a way of escape. By putting your faith in Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross, you, like Noah, can find shelter from the rain.

May we turn from our evil ways and embrace God’s free gift of salvation.

Remnant Rising

It is being revealed who esteems Christ over culture. Take note. Sadly, many of the churches bowing to the systems of the world today could very well be the ones bowing to the system of the anti-Christ when it has fully come.

Let he who has eyes to see, see. Let he who has ears to hear, hear. In this hour, God is cleansing His house.

For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News? (1 Peter 4:17)

A distinct line is being drawn. While many are conforming to culture, others are standing strong for what is true. A remnant is rising.

24 Here is another story Jesus told: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. 25 But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. 26 When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. 27 “The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’ (Matthew 13:24-27)

Indeed, from where did all the weeds come? From where have deception and division come? From where have demonic doctrines come? The enemy has attempted to sow these things in the Church. There are those who look like us, talk like us, and pretend to believe the Word of God like us. But we can rejoice and rest in the fact that God himself will take care of it:

28 “‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed. “‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked. 29 “‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’” (Matthew 13:28-29)

Ultimately, it’s God Who will judge, God Who will separate the wheat from the weeds. We need to only wait and see. And while the final judgment comes at the end of all things, there are certainly seasons - even now - when God will clean house.

What we’re seeing today is a separating, a revealing of truth. Truly, God is cleansing His Church. It is being revealed who truly believes the authority of the Word over the opinions of the world. It is being revealed who esteems Christ over culture. Take note. Sadly, many of the churches bowing to the systems of the world today could very well be the ones bowing to the system of the anti-Christ when it has fully come.

For now, we just watch God do what He does. Who bows to culture? Who participates with the world’s systems at the cost of obedience to God’s Word? Who softens the message? Who winks at sin? God will bring separation.

This prophetic message is both a warning and an encouragement. Get ready. God is cleansing His house.

The End of the Simulation

When the Lord finally returns, all of reality will dissolve. The heavens and the elements will pass away. God will shut down the simulation, and all will realize that He was in the room all along.

Jesus is coming. Are you ready for His return? Many will be caught off guard by the Lord’s return.

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. (2 Peter 3:10)

Think about what that verse is telling us. The heavens will pass away - the cosmos will cease to exist. The very elements themselves will disappear in fire. All of reality as we know it will dissolve. The sky will recede like a scroll.

Years ago, I purchased a VR system to entertain guests. The amazing technology allows for people to visit multiple different digital worlds. I often watch as my friends try the VR system. Usually, they pick the underwater simulation. It’s funny to see them flinching at sharks that don’t really exist, reaching for objects that aren’t really there, and pointing to sights no one else can see. They become engrossed in the simulation, convinced of it. They may forget that I’m in the room with them, but I can see them clearly as they fumble around the room in awe.

Then, when the simulation is over, they remove the headset and become adjusted to reality.

“When the Lord returns, it will be similar: Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire…”

When the Lord finally returns, all of reality will dissolve. The heavens and the elements will pass away. God will shut down the simulation, and all will realize that He was in the room all along.

Sure, there are those who mock, those who laugh at the idea that the Lord will return to this earth. But the Bible predicted that such an attitude would be present in the last days:

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created. (2 Peter 3:3-4)

We mustn’t become so captivated by this reality that we forget about eternity. When you enter eternity, it will be more like waking up than falling asleep. The presence of God - that’s reality. All of this is only the simulation.

Jesus is coming. Are you ready for His return?
