A Powerful Move of God in Orlando, Florida
Last month in Orlando, Florida, we gathered for two powerful evenings of Holy Spirit Encounter Services, and I stand in awe of what the Lord did among us.
People came hungry for God. Many arrived carrying burdens, sickness, or questions. But throughout the weekend, we witnessed something beautiful and powerful: Jesus met people, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily in that place. Souls were saved. Bodies were healed. And many encountered the presence of God in a way they will never forget.
What Unfolded in an Atmosphere of Great Faith & Expectation
On Friday evening, as I sat in the green room preparing to step onto the platform, I could hear the rumbling of vibrant worship just on the other side of the door. I was tired from days of travel, but filled with faith that the precious Holy Spirit would once again demonstrate His mighty power, as He has been doing in city after city.
There in that room, I prayed a simple prayer that I have prayed since the earliest days of my ministry more than twenty years ago: “Holy Spirit, please, go with me.”
I am fully aware of the fact that if He does not move, I have nothing to offer the people but a talk. His power is what makes the difference.
My team informed me it was time to go. I stepped onto the platform as the people sang praises unto God - “You are alpha and Omega, we worship You our Lord, You are worthy to be praised.”
The atmosphere was electrified with faith and expectation. Then and there, I felt the anointing charge my very being. As we worshipped, the glory of God intensified, and a weight of divine majesty pressed against the room.
After a glorious time of worship, I presented a simple message on the love of the Father. Preaching truth out of the parable of the prodigal Son, I shared about how the Father ran to His lost son, simply because the son turned back to the Father.
This beautiful truth I applied to those listeners in the room - “All you have to do is turn to Jesus, and the Father will run to you. He will embrace you.” A gospel call rang out, as the people were challenged to repent of their sins and turn to the Lord.
And souls responded.
Moments after the call was made, the altars were flooded with people streaming in from all around the room, even coming down from the balconies. As surrendered hearts made their way towards the front, the congregation sang a simple song of surrender, “I surrender all.”
As I stood on the platform, I could see many nations, many generations giving their lives to Jesus. Children wept. Teenagers wept. The elderly wept. Looking at their faces, I received a gentle reminder from the Holy Spirit: “You see, it’s all worth it.” Every day spent away from my home and loving family. Every criticism and attack. Every moment of exhaustion and frustration. Every resource spent. It’s all worth it.
About an hour after the salvation altar call, healing and deliverance broke out in the building.
But that evening, the greatest miracle of all was the saving of the soul.
By the second evening, the people came even more faith-filled and expectant after seeing what God had done the night before.
At the beginning of the service, I encouraged everyone to turn to someone nearby and say: “Something good is going to happen to you!”
Immediately joyful laughter and encouragement filled the auditorium as people spoke words of faith to one another.
I taught on communion with the Holy Spirit, and He moved upon the message like a gentle wind. The main points were simple:
“Welcome Holy Spirit”: Never be ashamed of His presence and power or the nature in which He moves.
“I Trust You Holy Spirit”: Never hesitate when the Holy Spirit gives you an instruction.
“I Love You Holy Spirit”: Remember the fellowship and friendship of the Holy Spirit.
“Help Me Holy Spirit”: Never forget how utterly helpless we are without Him.
After the message was preached and we prayed in response to receiving those truths, I began to pray for the sick.
Testimonies of God’s Healing Power at Work Today
Truly notable testimonies were shared.
One woman shared that a lump on her body had disappeared during the time of prayer.
Another testified of a torn pectoral muscle being healed, holding his brace in his hand as he praised God.
A young girl testified that her scoliosis was healed; she had heard and felt crackling in her back and then discovered that the curve in her spine was gone.
A woman shared that after 40 years of hearing loss in her left ear, she heard clearly for the first time in decades.
These were just a few among many testimonies shared over the course of those two evenings.
Towards the end of night two came the time of impartation. Like electricity, the power of the Holy Spirit began to come upon God’s people as I laid hands and prayed over them.
This sort of manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s power is a hallmark of our Holy Spirit Encounter Services, and such encounters mark people in a profound way for God’s glory.
